How much rubber mulch do I need for a playground?
Playground rubber mulch typically requires 6–12 inches depth for safety. Enter your playground dimensions and desired depth above to calculate the volume needed.
Is rubber mulch heavier than wood mulch?
Yes. Rubber mulch weighs about 800 lb/yd³ compared to 400 lb/yd³ for wood mulch. Factor this into transport and handling.
How much extra mulch should I buy?

Should I use bags or bulk mulch?
